(Not scared of death—scared of discomfort)

Staying up late can kill
but regular sleep feels uncomfortable
Most times prefer staying up at will
Death feels far; comfort is at hand
Isn't that value judgment out of balance? Brain off
The freer you are, the more obstacles

To live well, first govern the body's rhythm
Even with no one watching
live like a proper person
A gentleman cultivates inside and out
The more constraint, the more freedom

Craving comfort is advance consumption
overdrawing health, aura, presence, even life
These debts quietly take interest
over years they amplify
Huge cost to repay
yet never fully paid

A gentleman's self-discipline is like regular small deposits
gives you backbone
steadily rising returns
marginal cost falling
even changes luck
unexpected payoffs appear
