I haven't really started applying yet
and I'm already burned out
Pressure is huge
Core reason: trying to fit myself into others' evaluation standards
while my value system has diverged from the mainstream for years
Backdrop is domestic IT workplace culture
but I also think too highly of myself
unwilling to admit I'm ordinary
Inevitable widespread rejection and disagreement
Meaning little room to choose
Eventually forced to spray resumes
just for a chance to be seen
Best to return to my own value system
