Thoughts

Spent days wrestling resumes across directions:
1. Solutions / pre-sales engineer
2. DevOps / eng productivity
3. Agent development in smart hardware / robotics / autonomy etc.

Lost in the glow of fancy startup unicorns and big tech
unconsciously envious of 600k–1M RMB roles
thinking with a small jump I could reach them
while ignoring opportunity cost
Systemic pressure on new businesses hits the whole industry
Pressure cascades from upper investment and markets
Few can stay untouched long
I feel invisible anxiety and pressure without even starting a job
Fear of missing out
Fear of losing chances

The deeper reason I'm so miserable
on reflection is
life values already badly mismatched
Forcing yourself after what isn't yours is torment
Wanting high pay and accumulation
plus work-life balance and stability
Only in dreams

At this stage
I have more important life work
Learn to express, communicate, listen, understand, influence others
Temper the mind, stay undisturbed, go beyond self
Live peaceful and self-sufficient
That's the path to happiness

High-pay jobs gradually leave that path
My own life is the mainline
All-in on work won't make me happier
Fits the AI era too
Return to the human, people-first
Care for yourself and those nearby
Ability to deal with people and connect
should outrank ability to deal with machines
